Only what the product needs to work:

• Account details — your name, email address, and a hashed password. Passwords are hashed with Argon2id and are never stored or transmitted in a readable form.
• Profile information you choose to enter — background, skills, interests, target role and links.
• Content you create — resumes, cover letters, interview answers, assessment results, portfolio contents and assistant conversations.
• Usage counters — how many AI generations you have used this month, so plan limits can be enforced.

If you sign in with Google or GitHub we receive your name, email address and avatar from that provider. We do not receive your password and cannot act on your account there.

• We do not train AI models on your content.
• We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
• We do not run third-party advertising or tracking scripts.

AI features send the relevant content — the resume being scored, the job description you pasted, the interview answer you wrote, together with a short summary of your profile — to Anthropic, who operate the model that generates the response.

Anthropic process that content to return a result and do not use it to train their models. Only the content needed for the specific request is sent; your other documents and conversations are not included.

One session cookie, used to keep you signed in. It ishttpOnlyand cannot be read by scripts. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing here to consent to beyond signing in.

Your theme preference is kept in local storage on your own device and never leaves it.

A portfolio is private until you publish it. Once published it is readable by anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines. Unpublishing removes it from the public route immediately. Nothing else in your account is ever public.

Your content is kept until you delete it or close your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, documents, conversations, assessment results and portfolio; the deletion cascades, so nothing is left behind in an orphaned state.

To request an export or a deletion, write to privacy@careerlaunch.app. We action requests within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact the address above and we will help — you do not need to cite a regulation to make a request.
